Berlin: Dubai’s global technology ambitions took center stage in Berlin as the first-ever GITEX Europe officially opened in the heart of Europe’s largest economy.
This historic event signals a new chapter in the UAE’s digital expansion strategy and its drive to foster cross-border innovation and global collaboration in technology.
The opening was hailed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, who emphasized that Dubai is actively shaping the future of global tech by building cross-continental bridges and driving sustainable growth through innovation.
The event, held in one of Europe’s most dynamic startup hubs, welcomed a formidable delegation of over 65 UAE-based organisations, making it one of the largest international entrepreneurship and digital investment missions launched by the country.
The delegation, led by Alia Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, highlights the UAE’s firm commitment to global technological leadership and deepening its presence in key international markets.
